Burnet This stands at the south-eastern corner of Elder Park in Govan.This was gifted to the people of Govan by Isabella Elder and opened by Andrew Carnegie (1835-1918), himself a great benefactor of public libraries throughout the world. The building is influenced by French and Austrian Baroque styles, with a curved colonnade dominating the entrance, above which is the Govan coat of arms. A display on the history of Govan is exhibited inside.
